Well-written and informative book that is much more than a weight loss manual. Though there are some "British-isms" --ingredients that are unfamiliar to Americans, the book offers much information that does cross the pond.Ms. Kirk doesn't just give readers a diet plan, she explains why it will work and how different foods make you healthier.

This book is a sensible approach to weight loss and ensuring the loss stays off for longer. I exercise a lot but wasn't able to lose weight because I was eating the wrong things at the wrong time - I was always hungry and eating whatever I could find. Following the rules in this book meant I was never hungry (I felt like I was constantly eating!) and I was much more energised. The idea of only eating fruit before midday and then not eating any fruit after midday really works, as does the no carbs after 6pm rule. I now have a much better understanding of what nutrients my body needs throughout the day and how I can maintain a healthy lifestyle, while still enjoying treats in moderation. A life changing book!
