I am a huge fan of this game system, and in Osprey books. It is not really a dig on this item, but a compliment to the value of the core rules. You do NOT really need this to play an American Platoon like you would in other game systems. The core rules allow you to field an American team just fine. The art is good, and the pictures are nice, but there is not much gaming "meat" in this book. I do however love the small call outs sprinkled through the book with small histories of American Heros, or trivial facts about their gear. If your a fan of the game, and want some very specific army lists, then get the book. If you are a casual gamer, or history buff, you can probably skip this one.

This is a great supplement for Bolt action. Cover a majority of the US theater for creating list for Africa, Italy and Northen Europe, it only brefily covers list for Pacific. It is put togater well, the art work is above par. What it is lacking:Not enough on the Pacific theater, Not mention of US ARMY or other Forces in the pacific (Seabee's, Raiders, ect)Hobby/paint guide all of the Bolt action forces book are lacking in this.Over all the book provides what you need to paly in a few theaters.

I found this to be an excellend reference book even for the non gamer. A big fan of the production end of the war effort producting the M4 in such tremendous quantities, I would have liked seeing more variation in the different models of the Sherman tank than was included. For instance, I would have included the Sherm crab mine clearing tank somehow.

A great addition to the core rulebook, includes historically appropriate army lists to recreate battles at specific points in the war. A must have for anyone who enhoys the game and has an American army.

Very well written and easy to use. A must for the American player.

Pretty much everything I wrote about the Imperial Japan supplement is the same here. Good game, weak simulation. I will try TFL Chain of Command rules next.

This is one of the first of the Bolt Action army list books and it is very well done. Color pictures throughout the book help to illustrate the various lists for the United States in WWII.

Great expansion book for the game. Pictures of miniatures are eye candy. Rules explained well. Great game. Above a beer and pretzels but not as complex as Flames of War.
