Good contents but need lot of improvements. Major issues:(1) Wrong references to figures, examples etc(2) Lots of typing mistakes(3) Wrong code in examples, downloaded code doesn't work and it is messy.(4) Not needed code and examples at several places but incomplete / insufficient examples where they are needed.(5) Topics are jumping, not in good flow, definitely not good for UVM beginner or learner.-> Without first explaining whole UVM hierarchy and its components, book directly started talking about uvm_object, factory etc.-> Without even explaining different UVM constructs and how to use them and how to create components, books started explaining how to override them !!-> Started explaining TLM to connect UVM components, but components are not explained yet !! In short book has big collection of information but not properly arranged and with many mistakes. Looks like there was no thought applied for reader/learner's point of view.

Book is good when you already know UVM and need to get deeper knowledgeIt has several typos, but overall it is good to use as a reference. The size is pretty big, lots of info in it but can be shortened for sure. I think little bit more some extra stuff not relate to UVM.Also the pictures in the book are not seen well. What I dont like in the book are the examples, I downloaded the examples and dirty codes. Lots of files, same file is copied in many places. The class is called, but the definition file is missing you need to find it in the whole hierarchy. Another most frequently seen is the file name is the same e.g. wb_slave, but content is different in other place. So to my opinion the examples needs rework. Also many syntax errors in the codes.

Excellent book!I learn many new advanced UVM tips from this. I have found this to be an excellent text book on UVM. It is well written, and for the most part, easy to understand. This Practical UVM book primer really fills a large void in learning the advanced UVM features. While one can take a class or read articles and code snippets on many of the Verification websites, this book is helpful on getting the overall picture which helps to answer the question "why bother with UVM". I highly recommend the book for anyone who is bit aware of UVM and wanted to grab advanced features of mechanism. In today’s Verification scenario it is easy to get too hindered up in the details to overlook what where you're going and why.The book is concise, easy to read, and even had me snickering at times. I've been managing ASIC/SOC for over a decade, have been using UVM for 3 years, and this is one of the greatest books I've read on the subject. It's highly endorsed. This is a wonderful book looking UVM from different perspective.I have attended several UVM workshops and did not get the author's insight that deep. All in all I have to say the Srivatsa Vasudevan did an excellent job.Just what I wanted
