I bought this to simply be an interesting read, and it certainly was. I got married in Key West in May of 2015, and we also spent our honeymoon there. We definitely fell in love with Key West, but we are from the north and have wanted to move south for as long as I can remember. It's easy to fall in love with Key West with a mindset like that. The book itself has great information if you're serious about living in Key West, and it gives lots of helpful hints for moving and how to survive in the culture there. As much as this looks like it could be a joke, it's actually a really serious book. I highly recommend reading this if you're considering moving to Key West--even if you've already vacationed there.

Downloaded this after our first trip to Key West, because I definitely DID want to do as the title suggests. Humorous but also quite helpful if you have the opportunity and ability to actually live the dream.

This book makes for a very easy read, as the two authors are funny and highly descriptive. They describe scenes in which you feel you are there in the moment. For someone who is in the process of moving to Key West, I learned some good insight. And I'll keep this book with me as a reference when I'm there. Not to mention, I'm going to want to sound like a local and visit all these secret spots they talk of :-)

Interesting read but after having been to Key West many times I doubt if I can afford to live there, I wish the book had a guarantee.

I lived in Key West 20 years ago and found the information in this book to be very accurate. The authors capture the oddity and humor of the island and it's residents in their writing. I laughed when I read that while living in Key West, you may hear "two drunk drag queens bitch slapping each other in the alley behind your house at 3 am". I have heard this more than once under my window when I lived there!

Basically a good book but could be improved with a lot more details. We did live there 20 years ago and visit a few times a year. It does not give you any info on finding a job. Do not buy it if you really need info on finding a job. We are retired and thinking of moving back.

Very entertaining read. I lived in the Keys back in 90's and early 2000. Moving back in October 2017. Bought this book for a little motivation
