by Charles R. ZarasuaI liked the first part of the book the best as I have traveled through that part of the country...especially, The Battle of Culloden, where theJacobite Rebellion took place.

I still haven't read this but am very anxious to do so.I am into genealogy and this story is one of the bestI have heard about. It really got the Cherokee Nationestablished and going.

Helpful in genealogy research, well written and a good documented resource info.As to Ludovic Grant, a problem exists that there are several Ludovic's.

This book was well written and historically correct. The author researched this book accurately and the book was easy to read. I would buy another of this person's books.

This is a great read. Not only because I am a direct decendant of Ludovic Grant, but it tells of a man who has no place in the history books, but yet his accomplishments were outstanding. We have several people who settled the frontier and lived amoung the Cherokee who's names you will never see in books.
