A classic. Actually read the prequel trilogy and then this and watched all the movies again at the same time from episode !-VI. It brought the story fully to light for me. I enjoyed it all thoroughly. Movies are incomplete. They can't show you the depth of the character, their thoughts and feeling. The scene that especially got me was at the end when Darth Vader saved Luke and his and Luke's thoughts and feelings were portrayed. The whole story was the tragedy of Anakin. I didn't get it/ feel it back then but reading and watching again, I truly felt sorrow for Anakin's life and the tragedy of it. There was also the tragedy of the fall of the Republic. We are all flawed and the rule of law breaks down when hearts turn cold and corruption wins. The rule of law is only as good as the people who live by the spirit of it

It is strange to read these original novelizations and see how different things ended up on screen from what was written. There's a lot of variance, including Yoda being blue with long stringy white hair, and "laser sword" being used regularly as a term for "lightsaber."

In original wrapping. Dents from shipping in envelope. Binding already beginning to loosen on pages. I would return but I would probably be shipped a replacement in the same manor. As to the book itself, the binding is OK but the paper pages are thin. The printing is OK but not great. I would not recommend purchase.

Very beautiful book, the pictures do not do it any justice! I love it, super excited to add this beauty to my collection. If you are thinking about buying the book, go for it! It is awesome and the seller ships fast and...in a box!

Choose 4 stars because it is star wars, but the writing is juvenile, intended more for 14 year old than anyone else. It's taken from the scripts so it stays close to the story we all know. I like to read these to get some of the backstory and character details that are hard to fit into a movie script and it does not disappoint. There could be more of that but it wasn't entirely necessary. If you're a star wars fan and you haven't read this, you will enjoy it. If you don't like star wars, well, there's just something wrong with you.

I love used copies of books for some reason. This book was perfectly beat up and worn, which makes it ten times better in my opinion. The writing itself is excellent and while it literally tells the same story that we're all familiar with, it sort of adds a depth to it with extra details and descriptions, which adds a refreshing perspective that wasn't necessarily provided just by watching the films. It's a fairly easy read for younger Star Wars fans, but it can still be exciting and enjoyable for older ones.

What a beautiful way envelope such a galactic story! This trilogy is absolutely amazing! I can't wait to read the whole thing through!

These are classics. My son is totally into them and it's nice to have this to read to him at night (although the writing is a little sophisticated for little kids, true fans can make it interesting by mimicking key lines from the movie when reading them aloud). The binding is very good quality. The book holds together.Nice print, easy to read.Regarding the content: C'mon - it's Star Wars. It's freakin' awesome. Eleven stars!!
